Plan Care

Combined help

Plan Care is a cooperation without a pecuniary reward, aiming for people in need. The target of Plan Care is offering specialised combined help on the field of care and well-being.

The base of this cooperation is offering combined help to people who need the aid and are not sent running around in circles. With the help of Plan Care people are able to knock on the door a lot faster when they find themselves in an emergency situation and need help. Plan Care is part of Plan Angel and that's why it can be introduced in other countries.

Problems regular care and welfare instances

For years it has turned out that the care and welfare instances are not doing their jobs very well in the Netherlands. People needing help and finding themselves in emergencies often have to deal with standing in line for a long time. Next to that, they are often being diagnosed in a wrong way or receive the wrong treatment. This results in people getting the wrong help or no help at all. They are close to falling down in society's ladder with all its consequences.

Example

A person having a drug addiction is about to become homeless. He needs therapy as soon as possible. Not because of the drug addiction or not having an accommodation, but because of the loss of a beloved one at a young age. This person, however, ends up in a clinic for homeless people and addicts. They will only offer a roof over your head and limited therapy, while that certain therapy is of great importance for this person's progression. It turns out that a lot of homeless people tried to find help, but are being sent running around in circles for a solution. A lot of homeless people also gave up their courage and Faith in welfare. A homeless person needs the following things:

    • Humanity
    • Someone who takes the time to listen to them
    • Explanation about how to get a job
    • Explanation about how to get an accommodation
    • Explanation about how or where he can get medical help

Specific welfare

By saying “people in need” we mean the ones who need help in finances, accommodation, relationships, education and looking for a job. The offered care at the moment is often very limited. For instance, help is offered by looking for the right accommodation and straightening out finances, but no financial means are offered. By doing this, you only take care of the symptom. The cause, however, is not solved as a result of people staying in the same vicious circle. Practical problema are being solved, but there is no combined care. Plan Care “can” offer this. This way a broader audience will be reached. And Plan Angel will not become an island.

Plan Care aims for:

    • Children
    • Parents and caretakers
    • Elderly
    • Singles

Plan Care will be ready for use in the middle of January 2010. People will be able to sign up for free. Since not all of the specialized help will be offered by us for free, it will be paid for by financial capacity. For instance, someone with a minimum income will not receive a bill.

We will take care for the demand of subsidy which will cover the costs in situations like these. We consciously choose for paid and unpaid specialists so that we may always guarantee the quality.

By sharing knowledge en using specially chosen experts, we hope to create a bridge between the needy people and the care provider.
